Guest
Bought one of these today, worked superbly on a stint rough shooting. However, bloody thing fell off at the end of the day! Anybody have any recommendations for alternative adhesive?
Davyo
You can buy the ones that screw into the bead hole, then you thread the fibre bead into the frame.Did you clean the area with the white spirit patch ?
Redditch
You HAVE to clean the area with the white spirit patch (or what I use is brake cleaner). Then it sticks like there is no tomorrow LOL. If you have "********" the adhesive strip, then take it off, clean both the rib AND the plastic base of the site, and degrease both, then get some double sided tape from b&q and use that Edited September 11, 2015 by Redditch

Guest
Cheers. Area was cleaned thoroughly. Is there any particular type of glue that would be appropriate?
Guest
I find the bright colour draws my head and eye to the right place for a good mount quickly. I know you're not meant to aim a shotgun, but again it seems to help me keep the gun mounted properly as I move the barrels to the bird? I don't know, I just like it! Davyo
It only a reference point for me as you shouldn't be looking at the bead, you should be looking at the bird the bead should be ahead of the bird ( did that make sense) If you concentrating too much on the bead then your not concentrating on the bird( I'm sure one of the clay lads will be along to put that into English lol) Edited September 11, 2015 by Davyo
Guest
I find that the big bright colour allows me to follow the bird with the gun without my mount going all crooked. Ideally surely you shouldn't even need the normal bead if you mount the gun properly?

Squinting shot
Good system I use it now I can shoot with 2 eyes open and it helps you get the gun eye lined up.
Underdog
I never ever see the bead, just the bird, or what ever. If you need to see the bead to help one line the gun up it don't fit you!
clanchief
Take the thing off and be done with it, if you look back at the bead whilst you are swinging onto a target you will miss every time. You shouldn't see barrels or rib, stare at the bird, focus solely on this, and try to read the letters on the clay target if its clays your are on. Squinting shot
When I go clay shooting I can't see any letters I just stare and focus on the clay. The easy hit bead is in your eyesight and I can confirm sometimes it dose draw your eye resulting in a miss. try focus on the thing ur shooting at.
