I have a few questions for you if I may :-

what is your camera ?

are the pictures processed in any way ?

If they aren't,, Do you put the colour rendition down to your new lens ?

I ask these questions because I have a canon 450d , canon zoom ef-s 55-250 1:4-5.6 is lens and have to say I cannot match your results

many thanks

Hi Harry, that is fine.

I have a Canon 70d. which is a 20.2 mp APS-C sensor camera.

I do lightly process my images now yes. I never used to until I had an hour with a professional who inspired me.

In terms of my processing, I send my pictures directly to my phone via the cameras built in WiFi and use the mobile photoshop app, although I do have both light room and photoshop software on the laptop I find the mobile app really easy to make adjustments. I simply add a bit of clarity, sharpness, noise reduction and add some vibrancy.

The colour rendition out of my camera with my lens is still good but by adding just that bit more I think you get just slightly more appealing images :)

I started on the 55-250 lens you have and I really enjoyed it and got some good images. I think if you could get close enough and crop and add some aspects from light room or photoshop you'd get similar images.

I am very much an ameture and do it as a hobby, so I might not be the best person to give advice. Greengrass on here may be the better person to speak to as he has inspired me to get into this type of photography :)

hope this helps.

Thanks Dave ,

I thought maybe you did some processing and have to say your results are inspiring , I never could get my head around light room or photo shop so I have stayed shy of it

Yours and Greengrasses pics are what most of us mere mortals aspire to,,,, KEEP doing it Dave we all enjoy them

(you still have to have a good picture to start with )

Thanks Harrypen

Harry, those are incredibly kind words to read. Thank you. I really do appreciate that :)!! if you have a smart phone get the PS or Lr app they are way easier than pc versions...obviously not as good but easy to get started on:)

if you keep at it and just watch YouTube tutorial's read articles you'll be away, that's all I've done :)

all the best,

Dave

Some lovely pictures well done.

Give light room a go it's brilliant. There some good video tutorials on the Adobe page. Once you got hang of it you will wonder why you didn't use it more.

Going to have to get my camera out more and post some pics

Thank you James:)

Yes itd be good to see your pictures :)
