Recommended Posts

hi chaps

can anybody help? im not set up yet for doing my own reloading so im looking for some place where i can buy some cheap 223 ammo. ive been using 40 grain nosler ballistic tip made by v.shok which are a £1 each so if anyboby knows any cheaper im all ears .

Try the 'Partizan' ammo advertised by Henry Krank. I used 22-250 + 243 for fox shooting and found it okay. I now load own, very enjoyable and a hell of a lot cheaper.

just coz there cheap dont mean you have to use them. ur rifle will tell you what ammo it likes. try afew types/brands pick the one that will give you a 1"group or less at 100 yds

:good: I presume you're going to be shooting at live targets. Like Tommy says use the ammo that your gun likes best. It's great to find cheap ammo that works well but it's meaningless if your accuracy goes all to hell :good:

There are too many people running their .223 's with 50 grn HP American Eagle and having excellant results .Very rare to find a negative comment on this ammo for the price

£8/9 per 20

£40-45/100 against £30 for the Prvi's (in fact I think the last lot of Partizan .243 I got from Hannams was £24/100.

For info, Prvi supply the reloading equipment that Lapua use. :D

Dave,

Do we know this for a fact, or is it just the modern equivalent "repeated on many forums therefore making it the truth" ?

I was told by an RFD. Where he got the information from is anyones guess but I've normally found him reliable.

Its all on the PP site - they made machinery for making cases etc before making their own ammo and made the equipment that Lapua and oither makers use.

By the way 223 SP is now £33 per 100

http://www.henrykrank.com/privi%20partizan.htm

If you buy a 1000 you may get a couple of quid knocked off.
