Guest rabgoat Posted July 13, 2007 Report Share Posted July 13, 2007 good going again john, ......went out last night myself for the first time with the cz 17 hmr,shot two rabbits,seen two fox's, too far away for me to be confident off a clean shot 120 130 yds maybe,it's hard in the dark to get the range rite,was trying to call a fox in when behind me there started a snarling growling match,didn't know what to hell it was never heard it before they sounded heavy big animals,then it stopped and one BADGER run,i put the lamp on it,,it wasn't spooked at all i was the one doing that then it ran across the field another one came it sniffing the air seemed in a hurry looking for the other one,(dose of the bull me thinks).and on top of that i was being stalked by OWLS the whole time every where i went swooping at me squellin at me. I tried taking a camerafone video but it's **** enough in the daytime as it is your rite there john i thought they were gona come over to me and check me out,what do you reckon about the OWLS they were to close for my liking,would they claw at your face don't wanna loose an eye,i know they are prob only protecting there young and trying too ward me off. Seems to be hit and miss in seeing them is all but I've got no doubt that they're in it.
