Newbie looking to join a club in Norfolk

One of my new year's resolutions (I know, it's a bit early) is to start shooting next year. This year, I've had about 6 lessons (clay) and really enjoyed it. I have no kit and to be honest, I wouldn't know where to start so what I would like to do is join a club to gain assistance and start shooting.

I'm located in S.Norfolk (10 mins from Norwich) but would be willing to travel. Could anybody point me in the right direction :)

Hoping landydriver won't mind me hijacking the post. Same question (in norwich) looking for air gun clubs? If I enjoy that then I will be trying clays etc at a later date. Issue is I don't drive so being fairly local is a big plus. Not sure how trains/taxis feel about young men and a gun case.

I think mid Norfolk at taverham are going to have a air rifle range, but I`m not 100%

  • 2 weeks later...

Horsford Rifle & Pistol Club, 20 mins from the centre of Norwich. Shoot 3 Sundays a month, 1st Sunday is clay shoot, 3rd is half clay shoot & half rifle, 3rd Sunday is full bore rifle. Also 3rd Saturday is full bore rifle. 100 yd range. Plenty of opportunity to try different guns, gain experience and get free instruction. Guest day is 3rd Sunday of each month, PM me if you're interested and I'll gladly sign you in and provide a range of guns for you to try out.....
