I went out for the first time this year to see if any bunnies had survived the wet weather on one of my permissions. It didn't quite work out as planned as with two shots I missed two bunnies with my HMR one of which I clearly saw impact over its head into the wet ground.

After this that was it I was convinced the rifle was out of zero so I booked a day off work and went to one of my other permissions to check the zero being convinced that the zero was off.

I decided to start easily and set up a target at about 45 yard which is the rifles usual secondary zero four shots smacked in all within a 1/2" group so my conviction was starting to waver at this point. I moved back to 60 yards again 4 shots in a decent group, same at 80 yards then I finally hit 100 yards and decided to try 4 shots standing as I normally do when hunting and put together the attached (I did think the centre hit was actually well of target when I shot it as I couldn't see it on the shoot and see target)

I was really proud of this one as its probably the best group I have put together with the HMR off sticks either seated or standing :).

Just goes to show when you miss there is a good chance its probably you not the gun..........
