I finally picked up my Mosin Nagant M44 this morning from Rifleman Firearms near Taunton and I' m like a cat that got the cream! The Mosin was manufactured in 1945 at the Izhevsk Arsenal in Russia making it considerable older than it's owner. The bore is in great shape and is a lovely shiny silver so I can't wait to get down the range and shoot it now.

Thanks to PW member Tony1 for an easy deal.

I'm a glutton for punishment......or maybe I should import a rubber 'wimp' pad from the States. The cartridge size is certainly rather large compared to the rifle.

I think mother Russia designed it to kill in 3 ways, shoot, bayonet and bludgeon......it is built from finest T 34 steel comrade!

Was a guy at PW rifle meet last year with one, man he could shoot it good. We had some photo's of the fire flash from the end, it was amazing. He was Neil's mate from rack and load. Just for you.
