Feltwad
In July of last year I received a telephone call from a farmer that he had crows damaging his standing barley. In the coversation he said that there was not a great number only about 40 but he was concerned that the flock would get bigger and cause more damage. With only that number I decided I would shoot this one with a muzzle loader has I had done many times before but to make sure I would also take my sxs 24 bore hammer gun.I arrived at the field at 6.30 am and has said there were only a few I set up the hide and placed the decoys on a pasture field next too the barley field with three decoys set on the barb wire fence. For the first hour there was a steady flight of birds which gave me time to reload then birds began to come more fregent resulting with one with the muzzle loader and two with the hammergun this continued for the next three to four hours and then things began too slow down so I decided to call it a day , with all the birds collected the bag totaled 90 birds of which a third was shot with the muzzle loader . a good day see image Feltwad /[/ URL] Edited January 30, 2016 by Feltwad

Feltwad
24 bore Wow magnificent. Blackpowder I have used a pair of 24 bore now for quite a few years I find these guns a lot more easy to use if shooting big bags , odd times I load some cartidges with black powder but most are nitro by Firrochi. I also use a 32bore sxs hammergun for decoying pigeon on a corn stubble Feltwad
