Exudate
Just one opinion amongst millions, but you can't go far wrong with an A1 Decoys rotary. Well made for a decent price.

WelshAndy
How easy are they to make?
wymberley
How easy are they to make? Perfectly straightforward, but some practical engineering knowledge and access to some basic tools/materials are necessary. A little electrical knowhow too if you want to do the 2 speed. Having said that, back along when they were first introduced they were a tad pricey so this made sense. Now the prices have come way down, you could argue as to whether or not it's worth the trouble. What I can't fathom, is that as most business ends of the arms are some 6mm or so in diameter why to they make the bird mounts 10mm with a very thin wall and as such, very little thread. Fortunately, in this respect, there's a place that sounds like an old UK film studio that has the right idea.
