Wingman
Ran out of my usual eley impax 28s and off pigeon shooting in the morning. I have a stock of gamebore super game 32G no 6s so was planning to use these in my silver kestrel side lock. I realise the recoil will be quite stiff but wondered if anyone else had used bigger carts in a lighter game gun? It's rated at 900kg and 70mm so don't think pressure should be a problem just interested in people's views. Guest cookoff013
Worst case scenario you can buy a pad to put under your shirt.

aga man
You will be fine, i have put super game 32gm 5's through my old Midland sxs when roost shooting. You might get headache if your lucky enough to fire 100 or so though!
ChrisPCarter
I did a round of 50 clays with 27g Hull Superfast in my old 26" AYA No.2 a few weeks ago and was absolutely battered by the end of it. It's just a wood stock with no butt pad and I could hardly hold onto the gun by the last few ha ha Good luck!!!
JamesMoody3
I used my friends sbs for literally 10 shots on a stand a number of months back. Eley firsts 28g, didn't like it one bit, recoil was a pig! However 6 weeks later I shot a few pigeon with the same gun, using 32g I believe, and didn't notice the difference in recoil compared to my browning atall
winnie&bezza
A few years back I did either 75 or 100 clays with my old aya 25 and 32g 6s haha. My shoulder was recked. Edited April 11, 2016 by winnie&bezza
ChrisPCarter
I guess it depends how many pigeons you come across! Shooting a few pigeons every hour is a bit different to shooting clays with no break. It seems fine for the first few shots then it really starts to get to you. If you have a busy day you will regret it but at the same time have manly bragging rights over your injury ha ha!
