roadkill
Got a farm shop that will take any rabbits off me i shoot, question is are they ok if i store them overnight in my shed with the guts in and drop them off to the farm shop the next morning, will they be still fine as i would'nt want to risk ruining the meet or making anyone ill? colin lad
drop the guts out soon as you shoot them, i work in a farm shop and if i shooting any for work i gut them asap we wouldn't take them if they had gut's in no matter how soon you could bring them in colin

colin lad
i hang mine in the garage over night but if it starts getting warmer then i will be skinning them and putting them in my fridge at home till i take them to work, the garage always seems colder than shed think the concrete floor helps, other thing to think off now it's starting to get warmer is flies, hard to keep them away in a shed colin
Doggone
Peterborough game dealers insist on guts in, so they can see if they're healthy, I suppose. Andy Edited April 13, 2016 by Doggone

Andy Not the 16 they collected from me yesterday. Leaving the guts in will send them green in no time. You need to cool them as quickly as possible and dropping the guts out will help a lot. colin lad
but them op is taking the to a retail outlet (farm shop) not a game dealer in this day and age of health and hygiene you wouldn't get away with leaving the gut's in colin Edited April 15, 2016 by colin lad
sitsinhedges
I find some butchers wont even buy them with the fur on, they reckon it gets mashed into the butchers block, gets on everything else and is hard to remove.

ShropshireSam
My dealer will only take frozen rifle shot rabbits, fur on, guts left in. I cool on concrete floor overnight and freeze next morning. Only freeze a single layer at a time in 2 freezers so limited to 28 rabbits at a time. Scully
Ours takes head shot guts out rabbits only. We store in a big chest freezer and cut off the heads so we can pack more in, as dealer only takes them in 100's at a time.
