Lloyd90
I don't like people who do naff all etc when being paid but many a company I've known or seen don't mind dropping you like a fly soon as it suits them , or as above going against what they're been enforcing on everyone else just because it suits them. Gotta find a balance, if neither side takes the mick then your in a good'un
Lord Geordie
I enjoy the job! In the respect I have son good friends at work, and the nature of the work normally keeps me busy all day. If work dries up, I FIND something to do. Picking up litter, sweeping the warehouse, washing the forklift, even do other peoples work! I am far from work shy, but recently the workload got exponential, and the pressure started building! I rose to it and almost got it all done. Trouble is I felt **** because I didn't finish. I didn't get wrong! But felt terrible! Today between 7am and 2 I had the whole days work done! Three wagons unloaded, and then loaded with reverse logistics. 14 pallets of splits done! Everything sorted in the warehouse, promo racked away, and waste sorted too. Tomorrow I a busy day! 6 wagons in tomorrow! Then 3 bread and 2 milk deliveries too so should have plenty to keep me going tomorrow!
TIGHTCHOKE
Here LG, shouldn't you be at work? Rather than posting on here!! I didn't know you delivered bread and milk as well! Edited May 1, 2016 by TIGHTCHOKE
guest1957
Trouble with that, is I make rod for my own back! I work hard, and I mean hard! I don't like sitting idle. So work myself into the ground! I wear myself out and often get so run down I catch colds and flu very easy! The way I see it! I am paid to work, not slack! Its more because they screwed up by not having something in place for the absences and leaver! And decide to throw it ALL on me! Hence the careful what you wish for You're paid to work, not to make yourself ill. I ended up in hospital and despite being told not to discharged myself and went to work the next day. Can only be described as stupidity.

I didn't know you delivered bread and milk as well! 7 hours today just a short shift! Not bad either finishing at 2pm as I get the rest of the day to crack on at home! Tomorrow start at 6am three hour break from 12-3 then back in 3 till 9pm. Not so good a day as the whole day and afternoon is spent there! It's going to be an experience as I Have never done such a shift, but I am all raring to go! You're paid to work, not to make yourself ill. I was told if I discharge myself too often I will go blind Edited May 1, 2016 by Lord Geordie
