belly47
Since getting my hmr from wabbitbisher on Saturday I've been out with it at every opportunity getting a feel for it. Now I love my .22lr and have shot tons of rabbits with it but I felt it was time to get an hmr to reach out that bit further. I've been taking rabbits comfortably around 130 yards but tonight I shot my furthest yet at 172 yards, measured with range finder. I had missed a couple at similar range but after a few tweaks to my scope I got it right and dropped one cleanly. The weather was perfect for hmr, hardly a breath of wind at all. I will add that I'm not one of those that tries silly long shots and I've practiced hard with it on paper targets prior to this evening. It just shows what its capable of in optimum conditions.(as I'm sure the many hmr owners already know) Very impressed with the new rifle and alongside the .22lr have the tools to get on top of the rabbits on my permissions. Have posted a couple of pictures showing entry and exit wounds on the rabbit, and also a picture showing where I took the shot from, I have added a cross to the left of the pylon to show where the rabbit was. The range finder in the picture shows how small then rabbit actually was.
team tractor
I've not shot a rabbit over 146 yards but that's the length I've got . I love the hmr and find out accurate out to 200 on plate.

remmy1100
the hmr is a very capable rounds in right conditions love mine, myself and friend have shot rabbits over 200yards on still days but you still need to range and dial in correctly but once you get hang of it you can really push the range out it a good idea to practice and make yourself a chart up for you rifle /ammo combination so you can quickly look then adjust ,i personally have the strelok ballistic app on my phone which works spot on as ive few rifle /scope ammo combinations .but above all enjoy your new toy
