remmy1100
Cheers bud and good luck. I am shocked at the number I have shot at th :whistling:e farm I was at last night. I think I have accounted for around 15 on 2 fields and pushing 30 on the farm this year alone. Helps get me towards the century mark though so all good (6 more to go). I am back out after yet another chicken killer tonight following a text this morning so guaranteed not to see anything. well things started off wrong mike,,,david wanted go for rabbits as his arms where tired from being wrapped around a tree all day ,so i took .22 and david hmr so any close foxes he would deal with ,i shot few decent rabbits then we came to field with a large number of hares in and a fox stalking in on them ..and then it started it was like mr bean goes hunting put primos trigger sticks up and we started to hand call it started coming in then stopped then bloody fox legged it after a hare obviously didnt catch it. few squeaks and it returned . david then dropped to bipod but couldnt see for grass tuffs so back up to sticks ,not happy another check with spotter then back down onto bipod nope needed sticks as it came closer finally settled on sticks ,bang missed dont think he gave it windage as i told him it ran off a bit then stopped so not really educated saw another came close but no shot before dissappered through hedge . bornfree
Got a vixen last night. She had visited the night before and had been very busy over 70 ducks dead and had tried burying about 20 of them. Got in place at 10.30pm she arrived about midnight grabbed a duck and legged it before I had a chance to shoot she didn't like the bright moonlight. But she came back for another at 1.45 so a quick shot at 85 yards and an early night for once.

WelshMike
Headed out on Friday night after a badly behaved fox that had been dining on free range chicken...no luck unfortunately so popped to another farm where the fox has been dragging dead stock off across the yard. Arrived, checked where the farmer had left a dead ewe as bait, saw fox, got set up , shot fox about 100 yards away, went home ..perfect went out last night, got soaked , didnt shoot anything...not so perfect

Cheers mate. To be fair I havent had many blank outings of late so I shouldnt complain. I recounted the years total and need a final 4 for the first ever foxing century in my shooting career so hopefully I will get there. Take it easy bud. remmy1100
im in no doubt you will succeed with your goal and may well surpass it judging by your recent performance ,i wish you best of luck bud , failing that you could resort to foxhunters tactics and peel a couple of the local main road lol Edited November 14, 2016 by remmy1100

I will have to ask Mark what techniques he used the cover the tyre marks. I reckon he has some good photo editing software...add a fence here...add a boulder there

We had four off a small piece of land (not even a farm) maybe 10 acres the other week. Farmer has baited it and seen another four there this week. Off out on Wednesday night to see if we can bag some more. It looks like the smallest scruffiest bits of land see the most action?

Also he said that so many get killed on the road up near Durham that they are concerned about releasing them up there

FOXHUNTER1
The 25 yarder from the other night , not a tyre mark in sight You can see the run behind it where is squeezed under the fence to my waiting shot

Can I ask a serious question- how do you manage to thaw your frozen fox out and keep it looking good for all of the pics you take where you claim to have shot a different fox?
