itchy trigger
Hi all. a shooting buddy has a mid 70's Webley and Scott 700, 26", side by side, it has worn sears, he has managed to source the other sears new, but still requires the hammer sears, does anyone know where he could perhaps acquire some, or perhaps have some made at a reasonable cost, as he has been quoted more than the gun is worth. thanks it edited for bad spelling it Edited July 14, 2016 by itchy trigger

welshwarrior
If he's still looking I'm sure I can dig him out a set of blanks to fit, but they will need hand fitting
Gunman
OK first make sure it is 700 as earlier models had some differences .The other thing is to ask what exactly is your meaning of worn sears? is it trigger pulls or the gun not firing ? Webley sears will need quite a bit of fitting as well as hardening and getting the correct pull weight can be a bit of an art . You could try Tony White or email John Foster --- info at johnfoster gunmaker.co.uk--- as I do know he had some prior to his retirement .If it is the trigger pulls then you need also to have the bents on the hammers checked as these to can wear .
