longspoon
Fair enough. I wouldn't understand that either; in my day it was either two Wazari or an Ippon. Don't forget a Yuko ..

ben0850
Don't mind the summer Olympics, generally take an interest in the equestrian events and swimming but have to admit I find athletics rather dull, I do however love the Winter Olympics and am a total addict for the winter sports!! Scully
Don't forget a Yuko .. Can't say I've heard of that one; we didn't have it in Karate as far as I recall. Would have to agree with this.

I`m the other way around. I much prefer the second week when the athletics kicks off. Can't say I've heard of that one; we didn't have it in Karate as far as I recall. Awarding of ippon (一本) 'One full point'. Award of ippon decides the winner and ends the match. Awarding of waza-ari (技あり). ' One half point'. ... Awarding of yuko (有効). One score of waza-ari is considered greater than any number of yuko scores. ... Awarding of koka (効果).

Danger-Mouse
Thank you Brian Jacks. Now let's see some squat thrusts. Haha. Never met Brian. This was my coach/sensei. He`s a bit higher ranked than Brian. http://www.sysport.co.uk/news-jobs-events/news/tiger-marks-half-a-century-milestone-in-coaching

Danger-Mouse
No, not familiar with that one. Is it just used in Judo? Well I`ve only ever done Judo and Ju-Jitsu. I know it`s the scoring system for judo. Not sure if it`s used anywhere else.
