God knows were they dug up that old news, the dilk hospital lawn was a few years back mainly cos everyone is feeding them ( who else will eat hospital food). The Boar problem in the forest of dean has been running for ten years or so, its a big forest and the forestry commission will not take in any outside help, the animals don't make it far from the commissions land though as farmers on private land are cashing in, charging £500 to shoot a boar so one step onto private land and its off with yr head. They are very clever animals and the more the bungling commission try and cull them on feeding stations deep in the forest the more they move into the 'not safe to shoot ' areas eg villages. I manage 1500 acres of woodland four nautical miles from the most pig populated part of the forest, they only have to cross a few open fields but not many make it. 20 stone razor teeth giants feeding on lambs, well not quite, illusive, crafty extremely athletic creatures with a dislike to well mown lawns more like. In many parts of the forest the pigs have opened up dense bramble patches encouraging regeneration, tree rats do more harm but admiringly are not as tasty.

The sabs are already on it, when the badger cull finishes they move on to intimidating the Forestry commission and wreck their highseats, post up phone numbers etc, just do a search on Forest of dean wild boar saboteurs. Now they know they can get away with just about anything they do.

There here now and people need to get used to seeing them and occasionally being confronted by them especially with young, but on the flip side also accept they need to be and are being controlled in the forest

....and the government financially supports them topped up with hand outs for food and travel by the ' anti anything' fundraising set ups. One downside of social media, without it they would be out of contact and out of funds. If its any consolation while they are running riot in the countryside they aren't mugging old grannies and burning cars.
