Its a got a couple of nicks on it, and is quite dusty around the fiddly. Does anyone have any suggestions about the best way to clean a scope? ASunnyD
How about if the scope is a bit murky to look through? mines an old 4x20, been in the loft a while, not had the time really to try and clean up the lenses or anything but thought I would ask after seeing this thread
bruno22rf
I use disposable alcohol wipes - you can get them just about anywhere as they're for cleaning your specs, they come in little tear open packets and you can keep one in your pocket, cost a couple of squid a box. oldypigeonpopper
hello, i use Abbey lens cleaner after blowing off any dust, just a quick spray and finish off with the scope cloth
iano
Thanks guys, will get the cleaner and the compressed air. Sighted in the new scope today and was able to hold a three-quarter inch group at 75m quite handily. Unforgiving scope in terms of head misalignment though, the old Simmons was a lot more forgiving.
