David BASC
As you may know, Mr P has been attacking shooting with yet another petition, but the Government response, not least of all through BASC lobbying, has put Mr P back in his box:https://basc.org.uk/blog/key-issues/media-key-issues/basc-welcomes-government-response-packham-petition/ David

TommyB
Great stuff. Hopefully it will become increasingly apparent that the epetitions process is being manipulated by extemist groups such as LACS.
panoma1
Packham, Avery et al are playing the numbers game! They know if they get enough extremists, left wing, anti establishment anarchists and ignorant members of the general public to sign a petition, even a biased, emotion driven and unscientific one, their inadequate voices will as a result get a disproportionate amount of media exposure, encourage other anthropomorphic sheep in our society "to join the pack"......and eventually they will get their dishonest and unworthy petition a hearing in parliament.........It is a deliberate and calculated misuse of the democratic process which in the end undermines and devalues our democracy. The government must know these zealots are working the system for their own ends? God help us all if any government allows extremists and zealots with their predjuce, bias and emotionally driven propaganda influence the laws we must all live by! nagantino
I don't really believe Chris Packhams heart is in this. He is hoist on his own petard by being an Enviromental Champion. How would it look if he was FOR shooting even though he knows that shooting is a force for good in the countryside. I believe he is intelligent enough to see this but........ he can't acknowledge it. If anyone doesn't like Shooting then just say so, but it's dishonest to dress it up as saving waders and other birds that might show a drop in numbers.
