hey all.ive been out of shooting sport for about two years now and im looking to get back into it.ive owned air rifles mostly springers before hw 97 hw 80 tx200 hc tx200 sr ... i should never have soled that ! also a gunpower stealth ( awful gun ) and a falcon but cant remember what type.it was a single shot though.so looking to get a high end pcp.so far the hw100 hw110 aas510 ultimate sporter huntsman regal are on the list.im going to be useing it for vermin and 35 - 50 yds i normally shoot so accuracy is a must.i do like the power to be about 11 or 11. 5 ftlb. i do understand it can depend on pellet type though.just heard that the regal can be a far bit under powerd ? looking to spend about 1300 quid ... so thats the rifle scope pump bi pod pellets.also a pump dont bother me im a heavy set guy be nice for a work out lol.so what your thoughts gents ?

Hi there. I personally wouldn't touch the regal as most say it's not s good as the huntsman classic. If it was me I'd either go for a AA 510 (not ultimate sporter as don't like laminate stock) or a second hand bsa r10 and send it to be tuned. I've got an r10 I bought off a chap off here that had been sent to XTX air to be tuned and wow what an awesome, consistent and accurate rifle. I don't like looks of the hw100 either. Then there's daystate air Rangers etc etc

I keep hearing good about the R10 for reliability and accuracy. I think it would be my choice but I've already got an S10 .

Don't touch a pump . Many gun has been broken thanks to a pump with moisture . A bottle is only £2 to fill up by me .

R10's they say can be hit and miss but a send it for a tune and it will be a different animal. +1 about bottle

i have a hw100 kt in 177. having previously owned many different air rifles this is by far the most accurate.i was out with it yesterday shooting vermin in the woods amazing tool for the job. after owning many weihrauchs yourself you will know there german build quality. but saying that there seem to be so many decent rifles in your price bracket you will have to try before you buy. keep us updated.
