timmyra608
I have a 2007 Nissan navara that possibly has head gasket gone, heaters not blowing out any hot air so I have had the thermostat changed but still no hot air. So have been quoted £1000 by two different garages to have new head but said they can't guarentee if won't go again. So have decided to sell it and get something else. Just wondered if any of you guys knew what sort of money I should be asking for it as it stands? It has done 112000 miles and has 10 months mot Cheers Tim Edited November 11, 2016 by timmyra608
Harnser
All pick up trucks are making good money at auction . Go to the car auction at wymondham and they will give you a price that it should make in the auction . You may be pleasantly surprised . stuey
Major chassis issues with navaras. Get the chassis checked and if it's ***ed put in a claim with Nissan as they are buying back affected vehicles. Worth a read! And no biggie if the head is gone as it may get scrapped anyway if the chassis is affected. https://www.facebook.com/groups/505526562959686/?ref=br_rs Cheers Stu
four-wheel-drive
What is it with Nissan and Rust in this day and age no car/truck should have rust problems why are they not using galvanized steel plate I just do not get it. My first thoughts was have the engine work done if the rest of the truck is good as if you get another one you do not no what problems you could get with it after all if a car/truck is going ok why would people sell them quite often it is that they think something will go wrong with it soon so the turn it in for a new one not all of them but a good few of them I suspect. But having seen that they are or have been having rust problems then perhaps it will be a good idea get shot of it and get another make of truck I quite like the look of the ford ones but have no idea if they are any good. You've a couple of options pop it on eBay as is and see if you can get 3-4K or do the work then sell. Personally if I was buying a project with engine work needed I would want to pay peanuts

timmyra608
I decided to stick it on eBay for £5000 with the hope someone will offer me £4000. So time will tell. I did get a price of £800-£1000 to have the work done but would rather just get rid and buy something else. Cheers for the replies. flynny
Only certain ones have the chassis issue when towing, they were made in a certain plant at a certain time, if yours is one of them nissan will do a recall, I know because I inquired about mine, ( 2006 with 100,000 miles) Mine isn't one of them Flynny Here's your guide: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282254416197?ul_noapp=true So even if the head cost £1500 , its a bargain shooting truck to be had for £2500 Flynny Edited November 13, 2016 by flynny
