clakk
Drain the carb and clean it through with carb cleaner,2 stroke separates over time and turns to jelly blocking the jets .Also check the diaphragm on the carb make sure there,s no holes in it. atb

fortune
No spark = no go. If it went 6 years ago and nothing has physically been changed then it could be that the magnets on the flywheel have gotten weak over a period of time. remove the recoil and get a steel item ( screwdriver) and see if they are still good on the magnetic pull power. check air gap between coil legs and magnets ( about 12 thou). Take the kill wire off of the coil to rule out earth grounding on a bare kill cable somewhere from switch to coil. Take plug out and take the plug cap off so that you can see if there is a flash from the bare wire to the cylinder head or a convenient earth point. the spark might be very small and difficult to see so you want to be in the dark. If you get a spark put the cap back on and put the plug back into the cap. put the plug on cylinder head and pull over. you might have a spark now. If you haven't then take the coil off and put the legs on something fairly warm so that the heat will travel up the steel legs to see if it will dry out internally. Hot doesn't mean more than hot to the hand. Leave for a few days. PS there may well be fuel / carb issues to deal with if and when you get spark. That is one old saw. but it is a tool and if you can get it going it will still do the job it was built to do. What model is it? there is usually a black plate with the numbers on somewhere on the engine and it might be under a handle tube down the side covered in oil /wood chips. clakk
Ah i saw the spark at the plug thought it was a fuel problem,Fortune has covered the electricals so good luck .You can get generic parts as well as genuine but Fortune,s step by step should identify the failed part atb
