TR1
I am considering a pair of the above but reading reports of stock mounting problems. Does anyone near me , Aldershot Hampshire , have a pair I could try on . I can't find a local stockist. Many thanks
Chris Bb
They're no different to any other external type ear defenders except that they're reasonably priced and work.
Westward
Whether or not they interere with the stock is due the location of your ears and how you mount the gun - same as any other over ear defenders. I use HLs and if properly positioned they don't get in the way. They are inexpensive and good value, the only thing I find is that after about 4-5 hours they can become uncomfortable, especially with shooting glasses and a hat. Bungle The Bear
The best value ear defenders by a country mile - I use them for all my shooting disciplines, and a quarter of the price of Peltors "which are bulkier by the way" Never had a mounting problem !!! Mr.C
Yup +1 Mine do need shuffling up when I 1st put them on to the highest comfortable position, but.... they work and are comfortable for as long as need them to be.
Grazy
Great ear defenders. I did suffer from the stock hitting them but my girlfriend has no issues.
JohnfromUK
If the stock comes close to your ear (mine just touches my ear), you won't be able to successfully wear over ear defenders when shooting - no matter what type. The answer is to wear 'in ear' ones such as Emtec or Cens (passive or active if you can put up with the purchase and running cost). Much of it is in your style of gun mounting as well as your build. If you have a gun fit which needs little drop to the heel, you are at risk of an 'ear touch' situation. I wear Emtec when shooting and over ear types when standing with others shooting (in my case MSA Sordins).
TR1
Thanks for the replies. I already have other ear defenders but wanted to try the H L 's as they seem to be rated by many on PW. That's why I wanted too try some on . Request still stands , any one local
