Cranfield
I would like to run a pressure washer off a hose (affixed to a mains tap) that is 50 metres long on a hose reel. The hose is not twisted and works OK off the reel as a hosepipe. My point is, will the distance affect the efficiency of the pressure washer, either at full hose length out, or some left on the reel ? Gordon R
The pressure should remain the same, unless you are running the hose substantially uphill.
grrclark
Mine runs off a 50m hose exactly as you describe. No issues at all.

I do this regularly enough (and have the washer slightly uphill). Never had a problem and I use a cheapo old bosch washer.
kyska
I've found on the farm that mains water is plenty to run a big steam washer, but have to use a wider feed hose over distance. I also take the lance off and 'prime' the washer, that's a lot of air in that length of hose, there might be a mechanical trip if you turn the hose on full of air. You know you can run/clear the hose before you connect it to the washer...
kyska
You know you can run/clear the hose before you connect it to the washer... I do. Just saying when the washer splutters, I run water through it, it's a big lass.
Medic1281
I'd be more worried about voltage drop of the power going to the washer if you are running an extension to it.
