Vince Green
Chinese wages will kill the Premiership in the next ten to twenty years. Do you think this is true? Is this yet another example of Globalisation?

The Chinese are paying more than double what a Premiership player can earn in this country. They are starting to take good players from around Europe and that is predicted to turn into the football equivalent of the "brain drain" The UK Clubs won't be able to pay those sort of wages. UKPoacher
Won't happen in the short term as China is like the USA in that the level of football is far lower than in Europe. A few good players might go there for the last few years of their careers, but it won't attract many good, young players. And in the long term, the sort of time scale you mention I think China will have gone bust.
wandringstar
oh, I see, our players going there, surely its miles off, they don't have the football infrastructure do they? must admit, my football knowledge is sketchy nowadays, I turned off from the game a long time ago.
