Old Boggy
Welsh Warrier repaired a broken stock for a pal of mine (Daf - S.B.Allport BLE, remember ?) which was in a far worse state than the Powell shown and he made an excellent job of it and the gun is in constant use today. Can recommend his workmanship wholeheartedly. OB

Stour-boy
Hi Welsh Warrior, Thanks for the repair, I still look for any pieces when l go through the hedge where it happened, I spent hours trying to find them but I reckon they flew when the break occurred. marsh man
My brother managed to break the stock on this Powell boxlock. Wondering if it can be repaired or is it a case of a new stock? The guns not worth much but has some sentimental value, so don't want to scrap it but also don't think I can justify some of the prices I've been quoted for restocking. Would cascamite hold? Or is the break too bad? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Photos to follow. Going by your user name you might be in driving range of Richardsons of Halesworth , who would give you advice on weather it is repairable , and if it was , he would tell you weather it is worth it and more importantly SAFE to go ahead and have it repaired.
