andrewluke
Me I would go for bullet cams on the top of the porch. Wide is angle lens as it looks short. if he put a camera on the top of the porch he would probably be told that he's looking at the neighbours opposite
wandringstar
thieves have moved on from cctv, they just wear a hoodie or disguise, I think a top of the range burglar alarm is best, also half the time the images are ruled inadmissible in court. HDAV
if he put a camera on the top of the porch he would probably be told that he's looking at the neighbours opposite Not properly configured and masked tilted down with a wide lens The short distance means that much higher will be too steep. May need to put them a bit higher to stop them being nicked.....
vampire
If you are going for a nv unit, don't have a flood light it will completely white out the image. I have a swann system,n/v and everything you need,it covers the complete front of my property with brilliant clarity and you can add whatever type of camera you want. I would also look at getting a driveway alert and if nothing else just put a shed alarm in the van 109db,the drive alert goes off and lets you know someone is on your property and if they gain entry then shed alarm will put em off,but worth investing in dead locks on all doors and insuring tools. Anyway, can recomend swann cctv.
chady
That's one of the reasons I thought about going high up people chopping the cables Not properly configured and masked tilted down with a wide lens The short distance means that much higher will be too steep. I know what your saying will it be a deterrent or not? thieves have moved on from cctv, they just wear a hoodie or disguise, I think a top of the range burglar alarm is best, also half the time the images are ruled inadmissible in court. chady
To be fair there is nothing of value in the van at night. My friend has had his car Audi Q3 stolen off his drive while he was asleep and 4 days later came back and nnickrd his van! So my wife is a bag of nerves and just want to deter criminals to carry on down to another easier house. On another note if you have euro cylinders on your door have you got snap off cylinders in them?

chady
Did they take the keys for the Audi? No the car was at an Audi dealership the week before for over a week! But the car was stolen while they were asleep, disabled the alarm and made no noise! The insurance investigator said they were investigating 6 stolen Audi linked to another Audi dealership! Seams a bit suspicious but could be just a coincidence! I'll have a look I know kaolin sells them! what about a yale security system, with a couple of flashing dummy cameras, my dad swears by his yale system, it works perfectly, the alarm is immense, rings you on your mobile and all that.
