Game handling courses

Recommended Posts

I guess most of us are brought into the sport by friends or family am get taught the basics. Unfortunately I don't have this luxury, although books and this place are a big help.

I've looked at NGO and BASC game meat handling courses and they are quite a distance away and time away too.

Can anyone suggest an alternatives? I'm not looking to sell game or at this stage progress to Deer, but would appreciate learning the basics on small game. My butchery skills aren't great either..

Where are you based mate ? , you might get lucky and someone will take you out and show you the ropes , pw members can be a very generous and helpful bunch.

Based in North Essex, ideally looking to discover how to thoroughly check game (although I'm pretty sure I want to be doubly so) and also maximise meat yield from carcass, sometimes book instructions aren't so clear..
