Wood is laminate, feels very nice and comfortable to shoot.. Blaser r8 pro success are considered thee best stalking rifle.....?? Amongst others like the Sauer thumb hole ... Had a buck in the first week too, but was still in velvet... that particular bit of ground is pest control primarily, otherwise I'd have left him until he was clean.
