You can all see it at the charity shoot 😉.

Mind you I'd best get some pictures of it. Because it's going to fall apart soon 😁😁😁😉

Haha bet it don't.

Just out of interest did you notice how smooth it shoots ? When I first got mine I was amazed how low the felt recoil was. Very solid and stable gun to shoot especially on those longer targets.

Yes on my old b725 s3 there still was a little bit of a kick even with the inflex pad or what ever it was called. Using eley superbs 28g 8's.

But with the 692 it's like I'm shooting 21g carts through it. Really weird.

Also because of the balance of it even with 32" barrells I was over leading everything

Yep I found the same. There very well balanced mine was smack on the hinge pin. In the end I changed the weights in stock and made it slightly heavier on the barrels. So my centre of balance was about 15 mm in front of hinge pin. This worked well for me as the way I held the gun now ment the balance was in fact dead centre between my hands.

But those barrels certainly don't take a lot of pushing.

If you ever need any spacers or different weights. Please DONT buy them. Drop me a pm and I will send you some.FOC I have a fair few kicking about from my days of experimentation 😂

Cheers mate.

I might have a play with extending it today, as something is just not quite right as I want it.

I shot it Thursday night and shot a 44 ex 60 very happy that. The kills were bitty. I know it's a tick in the box. And it broke. But I know I'm not quite on it. But seeing as it's only the 2nd outing with it. I'll get it right. It took me a year to get the 725 bang on then I sold it haha.

But that was the rusting issue.

Anyway having a tinker this morning and then a shoot with it this afternoon.

I'll get some pics up later.

Sounds like a plan. Your welcome to whatever spare bits and bobs I have.

For what is worth. In my many hrs of patterning I found the HP optima chokes are on the tight side. For instance I found the 1/4 and half patterned actually 3/8 and 5/8

Don't know what chokes sizies your using but I found the 1/4 and half more then enough for most things. I've even had a bash at ABT with some surprising results.

Be interested to know how you get on. I have a bit of a soft spot for the 692.

I've stuck to 1/4 and 1/2 at the min. I did read a lot saying the chokes can be a bit tighter.

Anyway still early days and lots of messing around to be had. Might even bring the trigger a bit further back.

Could be a whole world of hurt going to happen here.

Over the years I've found all guns are the same in a lot of respects. Even the most perfectly fitted gun stills requires the owner time to settle in with it.

I found that hull comp x 28 gram 7.5 plaswad was believe it or not to be the best patterning shell by a country mile in mine. If you see some just give a box a go. Also just about all 24 gram plaswad were superb.

Anyway have fun

Very nice that is very nice wood for a 692, have fitted a couple of flush Teagues in mine and they kill Pigeons very well 3/8 /& 3/4 don't like the extended ones. Such a soft gun to shoot you have made a very good choice.

Both very nice guns. Nice wood on the pair of them.

Fruity I'm like you I like a good ol fashioned beaver tail. I'm just used to having something fat in my hand I spose 😜

Cheers all. I'm very happy with it.

After my morning tinkering session went out and shot a 48 and a 46 out of 60. So it's getting there. Definitely much more to my liking with the trigger further back.

More or less happy with the comb final adjustments. So I'll shoot it on the charity shoot next Saturday and then a reg on Sunday.

Before my final analysis is made

Just out of interest have you or do you intend to pattern it ? Also what shells do use ?

Im off today to pattern my DT11 I'm more than happy with it. It's more for curiosity than anything else as I'm a bit of a serial pattern tester.
