Topgun113
Would they be putting winter crops in already? It Was a winter barley field the year just gone and looked like a winter wheat had been put in already! About 2/3 inches
aga man
Normally oil seed rape will follow winter barley in a crop rotation. Ours is being drilled this coming week.
JDog
There is no chance that wheat has been drilled this early. What you are seeing will be volunteer barley growing from seeds spilt by the combine.
Konnie
Possibly been tilled over to give better germination to seed that went through combine, so it can be sprayed off later could be coming a second cereal to stop cross contamination, cannot kill a like crop in another. like jdog says. Cranfield
All part of the "seed bed" for the next crop, so I have been told.
