Alpha Mule
Virtually free tumbler almost worked: B&D won't spin slow enough. Everything else works fine. Bahhh! Plan B currently hatching.
Flyboy1950
Use the drill to turn the castor wheel instead, that will slow the set up down. Just a thought.
Alpha Mule
Use the drill to turn the castor wheel instead, that will slow the set up down. Just a thought. Like it! Or maybe the pot itself, Hmmm more fetting required.
steve_b_wales
Maybe a voltage reducer between the power supply and drill?
deny essex
Use a battery drill with a variable speed .
oldypigeonpopper
hello, can i ask what do you tumble ? oh and a table drill clamp (cheap) might keep a better level?
Alpha Mule
The drill is actually stable, but on its minimume (adjustable) speed it's too fast connected to the pot the way it is. I don't want to faf with voltage reduction etc. This is cheap and cheerfull at its best/worst.I think Flyboy has planted a better idea in my head. I'll be cleaning my brass in it. I don't get through much, so don't want to cough up for serious kit. Don't get me wrong, I'd love some serious kit, but can't justify the cost. mick miller
Drill attached to little gear. Drum driven by big gear. More torque. Less speed.
