30-6
I set a Larsen trap on top of the dogs kennels on my friends farm as they were eating the dogs food, and also were damaging the soft pads on the calf's feet as they were being born. Sneaky or what ? Home made, single cage baited, caught 3 in a week right away then nothing so it is put away. Farm next door complaining of magpies in their open top chicken run causing a nusiance. Is it worth giving the trap a go at this time of year, or will they just ignore it. Like I said, it is a single cage baited, no call bird. Will it work all year round ? snarepeg
Can't do any harm and could be educational, but a call bird would be better. We are still catching, mainly the young ones but then they won't be breeding next spring..
ShootingEgg
No harm in setting it, if you catch then happy farmer.
rimfire4969
As above bait it and see what happens.
Mice!
I've watched the magpies going into next doors chicken run looking for food, he leaves it open during the day, put it down and bait it see wot happens. Could you ask about shooting with an air rifle?
