Bewsher500
I have been shooting Eley VIP in 30gr 6s for a while now. The other day I had someone plant a seed of doubt in the Eley VIPs and it got me thinking. He reported poor pattern plate results and marginal results on game at sensible distances. I noticed that I get a lot of birds that are either winged or require dispatch. I had put it down to operator error or just being slightly off Question: Does anyone else have similar results? Are they as **** as he indicates? not a thread for recommendations on an alternative.
TIGHTCHOKE
OR get out and pattern them through your gun at the range you use them at and either prove they are good or not!

matone
Used the 5s through 3/4 ckoke and found them very effective although unpleasant to shoot! As they`re part of the new wave of super dooper cartridges, they`re possibly faster,so require more choke to control the patterns. Hth. figgy
Never been a fan of them, just never done the business through my gun. Other people Ive watched shoot them had good kills and liked them. Pattern them then decide if you and your gun like them. When it comes to game carts Ive found carts Ive hated in some guns as they kicked and were rubbish at dropping the birds. Ive loved a few years later when Ive changed guns. Hull imperial 26 & 28 gram 6 were a favourite and in my current gun they are poor. Dark Storm 32g 5 are smooth and are very good out of it.
