TIGHTCHOKE
I have just been made aware of this; https://consult.defra.gov.uk/natural-england/wildfowling-guidance-review/ Is this more unneccessary interference?
greylag
BASC and very many wildfowling clubs have been battling this for quite some time.
figgy
DEfinately reads as more interference, greater input from clubs and numbers in areas. Not good at all. Be good to know what the shooting orgs like basic are doing to counter it.
mudpatten
BASC has been running a massive campaign, see your last BASC magazine, the BASC website and anything online connected to BASC, to get fowlers to respond to this both as clubs and as individuals. BASC has been wrestling with DEFRA over this issue for years and has forced DEFRA to this consultation.
Yer man
Couple of links that might help BASC response https://basc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2017/11/BASC-response-to-NEs-consultation-Website.pdf which may guide your response - or not! and BASC web page introducing it https://basc.org.uk/wildfowling/wildfowling-advice/wildfowling-consents-consultation/
