243deer
I bought an armsan 612 last year - had about 250 shells through it so far so still quite tight. Yesterday in the cold (-4.9 deg c actual - 20mph wind gusting 30mph) the action/bolt decided that it would work at a snails pace and not close properly after the first shot. Turned it into a single shot in effect. (still managed a pigeon and 6 rooks for 14 shots - I think you concentrate more when you only have 1 shot - back to my formative years and the old Cooey 12g single) I always strip down and clean finishing off with a very lightly oiled rag (legia spray) on all moving parts as I understand semis do not like much in the way of oil/grease around. In warmer weather it has been faultless so suggestions needed as to how I get it to work when it is colder. Thanks folks

motty
I always give the semi a good spray with duck oil or whatever when I have finished. Has never caused me any issues.
cervusman
Oil in cold weather will thicken so if you over oil a semi auto will make it sluggish, it’s best to only light oil it.
jasper682
Used a very light lube of the Berretta teflon oil stuff on the A400. Shot clays in ALL weathers no probs . 24 grm loads too. Jasper.
