Wooder
After a Suzuki Jimny as a third car. I been offered fist dibs on one from a dealer on a 15 plate SZ3 with 17000 on the clock £9500. are the newer ones better or worse than the old ones? I know they have a good following. Dave at kelton
Great go anywhere car but a reputation for rust undeneath and in the little tool area behind the back seat. Have a good look before you buy. Ours is very much older but suffers badly from rust.
DrBob1
We've got an 07 as a 2nd car and it's fine. Thought about a newer one, buts as far as I can tell, they're the same vehicle with a little bit of technology added (bluetooth etc). Ours was a lot of fun in the snow ... Kalahari
I've had two in the past. Fantastic little motors. Just get the underside waxoyled or some such thing and get it checked every annual service. They will go anywhere, but are not the best choice for a long journey. David. Salop Matt
Love ours and have done circa 100k miles in it now. Great off road and on all the journeys I've asked it to do. Oil and filter every 10k miles and everything is great. I plan to only replace it only when its dead beyond repair Which at the current rate will be over 200k miles. It will also only be replaced with another, the only thing that I want in a newer one is A/C for clearing steamed up windows when you get back to it cold and wet from shooting as the heater is great but it does steam things up ! mick miller
If you're thinking on a Jimny and are about to drop £9.5k on one, think on spending a little more and getting these guys to put one together for you. The low ground pressure version looks great, I even considered selling the landy to get one instead (especially if they start to really penalise diesel drivers). Wooder
I think they look good! I had a look on their FB page, I was impressed. I have put a deposit on the jimny now, pick up first week in April as is being traded in.
WinchesterDave
Miss mine a lot!! I would have another one purely for a shoot vehicle. The newer ones look much better at the front - bit more chunky etc. With the 15 plate one I think you'll get all the new kit on them including traction control which should make it better off road, too! Oh, nd the indicator stalk on the correct side lol. Enjoy it! Shame you'll have just missed the snow to have a play in!
