DanBettin
Long shot - but I've heard a few people now mention a relationship between production of Bettinsoli and Browning shotguns, does anyone have any details on this?
Westward
Never heard of that. It sounds like Chinese whispers to me. Miroku makes all the factory produced Browning O/Us in Japan. The non mass produced Browning O/Us are made in Belgium. I've no idea who makes Browning semis & pumps but I very much doubt Bettinsoli has any involvement. There is a vague relationship between Beretta and Bettinsoli in that Beretta owns Franchi and Bettinsoli manufactures Franchi O/Us. Kalahari
AFAIK Browning han't had an Italian Connection for many years, the medallist which wasn't meant to be a Browning at all. BPS shotguns are made by MIroku in Japan and you can see it in the build quality. David.
Gunman
Browning had an arrangement with Beretta for autos but thats it as far as I know . Beretta bought out Betinsolli as they did with Franci but that was to get Faranci's military and police markets .
Westward
The medalist could be the source of this except it was made by Sabatti (now called FIAS) not Bettinsoli. The medalist was a standard Sabatti fitted with a Browning branded butt plate.

This , when Beretta got new machinery they moved some of the older but still very good machinery to Bettinsolis workshops, I think Bettinsolis are still hand finished.
