hodge911
I degreased it with some neat T.F.R [traffic film remover] then fine wire brush in drill then differing grades of scotchbrite pads from course to fine then 0000 wire wool and then solvol cream polish then mer polish to help seal it I wish I had some polishing mops and soap at hand tho . might of been easier / less time consuming but hey ho I didn't so used what I had available 24 minutes ago, ditchman said: and very nice too.............how did you do it........... i love these pottering about shine em up threads....makes me relise im not alone.. thank you Its probably no where near your standard of workmanship but it,ll do for me Edited April 29, 2018 by hodge911

Dunkield
What does the rest of the engine look like?
Mungler
Good effort on the crevices. There's nothing nicer than something shiney, but given that you'll probably never see it again and it will get mucky again I wouldn't have bothered outside of chucking it in the dishwasher perhaps Mind you, it was a rainy weekend and there was nothing on the telly. oldypigeonpopper
hello Mungler, i agree with your note on telly watching, i am an avid watcher of TV dramas if that is what might be of interest on a rainy day try looking on line for WALTER PRESENTS series on catch up, most foreign and subtitled but excellent productions.
