figgy
Farmboy if your missing 70% with 1\4 choke i dont think going tighter will help you. Pattern it and see if it needs adjusting for fit.

Pattern it and see if it needs adjusting for fit. This has to be good advice. If your pattern has huge holes, then change the choke or cartridge. ... chances are it's you .. in which case choking up won't help (unless it's in your subconscious). Lol on the whole I do only use fibre, have got a few odd boxes of Plas, as long as the rains holds off I'll give one of each a go later 2 hours ago, figgy said: Farmboy if your missing 70% with 1\4 choke i dont think going tighter will help you. Yeah fit is worth a thought but as far as I could tell it did fit me fairly well, + the subconscious thing did come to me to as I can't help but think 1/4 is too open. impala59
As this is regarding semi auto choking I thought I would throw another stick in the fire. An old shooting pal of mine always said that tight chokes made his gun (an old Beretta 301 ) cycle better and therefore gave him confidence on game and clays. I don’t know if there’s anything in it but he usually shot 3/4 or full and didn’t miss much

Potters doing a good price on Briley flush chokes, just bought a Browning 20 bore flush Briley for £24. Treated myself to one from Potters today, thanks for the tip, really good company to deal with.
