markm
Hi, looking for some advice. The back lawn has a few small areas (paving stone size - removed. ) that are lower than the rest of the grass, I filled them with turf last summer but are approx 10mm lower than the surrounding area, but the grass grows well in these areas. What would you suggest to level the lawn? Sand, top soil or something else? Ps - just want it level, no need for a bowling green.
TIGHTCHOKE
Sharp sand and some weed and feed gradually building up the low parts.
ShootingEgg
Ive just put soil ontop and then let the grass grow through then added until its built up and become level.
Konnie
Get a fine soil riddle and as mentioned build it up gradually, not level at first as grass establishes the crown of growth will raise a little.

This, IMHO. Top- dress with some clean topsoil and a bit of grass seed, and build it up bit by bit. LS
