I think the allure of Landys RR,s is the image. One of Royal connections, wellies, hunting & shooting toffs. The Japs, whilst better technically, lack that understated feel. A car should make you FEEL good - even when you're stood at the side of the road with smoke bellowing (I have re.Disco) I still loved it. It's illogical Captain but give me a Brit anyday. Also love the Korando but the designer was English so that's why!
BSA Shaun
A jap one is like a trophy wife, looks good but you daren't touch it in case you smudge the make up. A landy is like a swedish blonde woman, you have to keep touching and fettling with it until you get it right

Hodmedod.one
Also love the Korando but the designer was English so that's why! Jesus, you and the designer need to go to Specsavers. That Korando is a pig-ugly motor!

claypop
Also love the Korando but the designer was English so that's why! Jesus, you and the designer need to go to Specsavers. That Korando is a pig-ugly motor! I quite like it. It's daring. Fords have been known to change radically but then you see so many they become the norm & the older models then look dated. The Korando is a good design but, due to there not being many on the road, ppl see the daring design & think 'ugly' when, actually, it's not (& I am not selling one!). 2.9 Merc engine on the oil burners too, can't be bad. Also, my wallet cannot afford badge snobbery! http://www.benni.is/korando.jpg << is NOt ugly! I hate japs due to their bland design & image. The Korando is a mud plugging no nonsence jeep akin to the values of the Defenders - not the hairdresser's Freelanders which, when launched, were called ugly. Now the Ssanyong Musso IS one UGLY motor, there I agree. Anyone selling a silver Korando, let me know I,m in the market (diesel).

Fisherman Mike
My teefs are my own... and I do go off road with my 2.2 d CRV. Only last week I parked it at Wimbledon Golf Course on the Grass. Seriously, its not a mud plugger I know,. but its capable in the slippy stuff and almost the best car Ive ever had, and Ive had a good few. The best being the 2.5 V6 Vitara ( new shape). Incidently if you want to see the suzukis performing in extreme conditions pop along to the cotswold show at Cirencester this weekend. You will be amazed what they are capable of, even the Jimny.
