manthing
I must have a long neck or sumat. When I mount my gun it sits quite high in my shoulder. Is an abp the best way to over come this. Fitting it won't be a problem, I have all the necessary. Was thinking a comb riser but won't that just push the butt down so I'm not lined up properly. For info I shoot right shoulder am right eye dominant and shoot left eye closed, I think 🤔😁
Gordon R
If the gun sits high in your shoulder, then an adjustable comb or comb raiser will push the butt plate down to where it should be, leaving the comb at the correct height. An adjustable butt plate would have a similar effect. Edited February 8, 2019 by Gordon R
figgy
I just mount the gun higher in my shoulder, never been a problem. It just takes a little getting used to, soon enough you don't notice and it becomes normal. Adjustable sliding butt plate will move the pad down. Comb raiser will change your eye rib alignment and if it's right for you now, not what you want to be doing. Dibble
I've just fitted one, it was about £8 from j ramsbottom. To my mind moving the but plate adapts for different shoulder to cheek distances, an adjustable comb will alter for cheek to eye distances. Smokersmith
If your cheek to eye position is right, and you just want to get the mount lower in your shoulder, then an adjustable pad is ideal. I fitted an ISIS one to an o/u and it's just the job.
