25p is alright if there were more dealers within a short(er) distance so you could take up smaller fresh bags , not many people are getting bags big enough to drive a long distance to off load bags under say 50/60 , this time of the year you might get away with keeping two or three smallish bags in the cool for a few days and then take them up all together , but as the days get warmer this reduce the time you can keep them fresh , the problem is getting shot of frozen ones in big numbers when your freezers are full .:hmm:

I think most of our frozen one's still do , but are they losing the taste for pigeons ? , or is the supply greater than the demand ??

if the supply is greater than demand ...that would tie in with what motty says as to the growing health of the pigeon population..(not excactly his words)....but he has always eluded to a growing stable population.......

Great report. Really disappointing that you struggle to pass on the birds to dealers. The price offered by dealers in Northumberland is 25/30p per bird. This has been the price since I started shooting 30 years ago and is definitely not enough. it will be interesting to see if Brexit affects pigeon movement and prices.
