can I spray this stuff on using a small 5l garden pump sprayer kind of thing?  sure I read somewhere if you heat it up it works.

Can’t see that working you’d need to thin it, also those garden sprayers aren’t solvent compatible

I have spayed it with a air line it would not work with a garden sprayer even if you warm it or thin it down.

I used to heat mine up on a paraffin stove before spraying. It's pretty flammable stuff but what's life without danger? The WaxOyl sprayer works fine but a compressed air paraffin gun is better

You can buy a spray kit for about £35.

Waxoyl won’t go through a small garden sprayer even if you stand it in a bucket of hot water. Maybe if you heat it and thin it with lots of white spirit but it won’t be long before the seals swell.
