ollie
Well if your not seeing anything you could be lamping at the wrong time or there could be no foxes in the area. When your lamping stop every half mile or so and call for a few minutes even if you don't see anything.
markadams
Ollie, I think he is talking about lamping Rabbits (not foxes). I may be wrong but if not then are you using a coloured filter on your lamp? I have always found that white scares rabbits but red or orange works far better. It may be that your area of land has been hit hard by Mixy and it now has far fewer rabbit about. Mark.

Magpies are gay
Cheers, i am going to try a red fliter 2 night, (i was on about rabbits ) and there are no foxes or mynx around any more, because the game keeper has taken care of them. And he has left me the rabbits!
High_gun
Maybe I'm wrong here but I believe MA meant myxomatosis as in the disease/virus that rabbits can get (not mynx!). HG.

Hammergun
Think of the lamp more as a way of enabling you to spot them rather than as a way of making them freeze. As dim as possible is best, with an orange filter or red.
