mickyh
As above, I've bought a 240v input 12vdc output transformer to run a car pressure pump. So i can plug it into my Garage mains and top up my tyres when needed. So I dont have to plug it into the cars 12v socket. Its barley turning the pump motor ? Writing on the Transformer is as follows 90v-240 50Hz 80MA 12VDC-600MA Any ideas where I'm going wrong, or is it faulty? Many Thanks in anticipation. Mick. Ricko
Does your car pressure pump have any specifications on it? It may not be able to allow sufficient current to be drawn. Edited May 21, 2019 by Ricko
paul1966
600ma does not sound like a lot of current to supply the pump, maybe its that.
Jaymo
600ma is quite frankly minuscule- even your common garden 5v Apple usb is putting out a reportedly 2.1amps

Why not hook up the pump to a 12v battery and use the transformer to keep it topped up?
