I would say, some good company, some good banter, nice weather (not too bright mind!), good competition between the guns, and some challenging targets!

 

Personal favourite target: I'm not entirely sure what you call this one, but they have it at Lakenheath, you stand on a raised platform (about 4 - 5 feet up), with the traps underneath you. Two clays, come out from underneath you, at a fair speed, and you need to kill them inside about 30-40 yards i'd say. Took me ages to get it, but now i have, i think it's great!

I'm with Jonesy on this,

 

One of my local shoots is in a back field to a very nice country pub.

 

50 birder on a sunday morning followed by a couple of pints and some bar nibbles, what could be better?

 

50 birds, couple o pints, bar nibbles & beating your nemesis and ribbing them thereafter forever more :P :P
