NoBodyImportant
Not sure if available over there but I use alliant black MZ. It’s clean and reliable. Runs about $8.99 a pound here in the states. https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting-gear-gun-supplies/muzzleloader-black-powder-guns-equipment-supplies/powder-primers/alliant-black-mz-muzzleloader-powder/p/1318670
bruno22rf
Never used the stuff but I think 15% reduction, in weight, is about right so 1 1/4 load needs around 100 grains FFG BP so around 85 grains of 777 would be my guess. Old farrier
It’d be useful if you could be kind enough to give a little more information about your choice of gun muzzle loader ? bore ? Hopeful non toxic choice?

bishop
im reading here that the conversion for black powder substitutes is done by volume so this page claims adjustments are needed.the first to adjust ,for example, 100 grains of goex weighing 85 grains and 100 grains 777 weighing 73.3grains . You then take the 15% OFF the 73,3 grains???????. Seems odd to me. https://www.curtrich.com/BPConversionSheet2005.htm Edited August 27, 2019 by bishop
