sheffieldshooter
is james toselands move to tech 3 yamaha in moto gp a bad move i think he should have waited for a better ride after he wins the wsb 2007
chippy18
Hi it proberbly looks like a **** move at the moment with Tech 3 results being what they are, but then again they have been running on Dunlops so that would put the mockers on just about any team using them. They are not saying to much at the min as they are still under contract with Dunlop, but there is talk that a new tyre deal is in the pipeline for next season so they may have a few surprises up their sleeves. Toseland i think was hoping for Honda to offer him a ride in GPs but all they was preapared to offer him was WSB again. I think he is using it as the hop up into next level and he proberbly knows a lot of things about Tech 3's specs for next season that so far we dont. Toseland is lucky he has age on his side for the move to GP's, unlike a lot who have made the step up and flopped. Cheers
sheffieldshooter
i think you can only do well in gp if you come through the 125/250 championships.you can still make a name in wsb like foggy did year after year.it should be fun to see hodgson in wsb next year and even edwards if lanzi goes to partner rossi
berettaman1
dont think Lanzi will go to Yamaha he has done nothing since he took over Toseland,s spot on the duke, I think Ducati will drop Lanzi and get a good 250 bod to replace him, and I think Edwards will be without a ride next year. Hodmedod.one
The rumours are that Jorge Lorenzo the current 250cc Champion (not Lanzi) will be Rossi's team mate for next season. He has definitely signed to ride a Yamaha Moto GP bike for next season.
squodged
I've read that the Tech3 team is going to be on Michelin's next year. Though I think that Toseland is going to struggle, he's a good rider as he has proved, but the Tech3 team hasn't got the resources or the staff to make a yamaha work. If Rossi and Burgess can't make a Yamaha & Michelin beat anything on Bridgestones then what chance has anyone else got. I wouldn't be suprised if the Motogp series doesn't have some kind of enforced tyre controls like WSB with Perelli's. You've got to say that Bridgestones seem to be the rubber to be on with the new 800's.
Pushkin
What happened to Neil Hodgson? He was doing so well a year or two ago and now he seeems to have dropped of the radar almost completely. Heard his name mentioned the other weekend when the SBs were on but didn't really catch what was being said. Anyone got the gen? I think Toseland will make a good job of this move, he will certainly wring whatever there is in the bike out of it - wether the team can get the bike performinfg to its max is another question though.
